Psychiatrist (Brooklyn, NY, USA)

As a member of the mental health team, provide direct clinical services to youth, including, but not limited to completing psychiatric evaluations, prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications for both effectiveness and side effects, including obtaining informed consent, collaborating/consulting with the mental health, medical, facility, and other staff in the management and treatment of residents with mental health needs, facilitating/managing urgent mental health situations, providing documentation of services provided, and practicing within OCFS policies, procedures, and memorandum.
Scope Of Work:
The psychiatrist will be required to provide psychiatric evaluation and treatment services to youth during their stay at the Reception Center. Services will be provided on-site on a mutually agreed upon schedule. Specific components of this service include, but are not limited to:
Evaluations of youth (via direct assessment and record review) and establishment of multi-axis DSM-IV diagnosis, when appropriate.
Provision of assessment, referral and treatment services, including chemotherapy, when appropriate.
Supervision of the administration of any psychotropic medications prescribed under the direct service component of this array.
Participation in effecting appropriate psychiatric hospitalization and discharge when indicated.
Appropriate documentation of psychiatric services will be maintained in a format consistent with OCFS policies and procedures.
Case consultation, especially with regard to decisions to refer youth to psychiatric facilities.
Have a valid license to practice medicine in New York State.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Eligible for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs.

Two (2) years of professional experience providing psychiatric services to children and adolescents as a member of the psychiatric staff of a psychiatric hospital and/or in the psychiatry department of a general hospital, or in another setting. Experience with a juvenile justice population is preferred.

6) Keeps work areas well stocked with necessary supplies and notifies appropriate personnel when inventory levels are low. Must keep all work areas clean and dispose of all waste appropriately.

7) Keeps current with all laboratory procedures, techniques and changes in all areas of the laboratory.

8) Follows all departmental policies regarding attendance, dress code, punctuality and health and safety including but not limited to HIPPA and OSHA guidelines.

Massage Therapist - earn up to $75/hour (Toronto Canada)

Wellsprings College is now opening a new branch in Mississauga, where you can get prepared to become a RMT (Registered Massage Therapist).

The Massage Therapy program is starting soon. This program is 2 days a week: every Monday from 5 PM to 9 PM - Science classes, and every Sunday from 2 PM to 6 PM - Practical classes. From the third month of the program, one more evening class will be added (this schedule may change if majority of the students and teachers agree on a new schedule).

We are planing to finish the program in 11-12 months. After the program, there is a 2 months period for preparation for CMTO examinations (governmental board exams) that our teachers prepare you.

This group will be between 15-20 students for the science classes and will be split into two groups for the practical classes to make sure that all the students will have enough hands on practice.

The fee for the Massage Therapy program, textbooks, and massage equipments can be paid monthly. However, if you would like to quit from the school, full refund is available.
